Sebastopol AFC Club Location & Information

Matchdays

Both teams meet for all matches at The Crown Inn, Sebastopol (see below for details) at least an hour-and-a-half prior to kick-off.
In certain circumstances it may be necessary to meet at an earlier time (e.g. for certain away fixtures or early kick-off). All players should report to Skippy's in order to make themselves available for selection. If you cannot make it for some reason, please contact either of the managers and inform them of your absence.

How to find us

Directions to The Crown:

  • Head toward the A4043
  • At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A4043
  • Through a set of traffic lights.
  • At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A4043.
  • At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A472.
  • At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Clarence Road - A472.
  • Through a set of lights. Signposted Griffithstown
  • Stay in the right hand lane.
  • Turn right.
  • Through a set of lights
  • At roundabout take the 1st exit
  • At roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Stafford Road
  • Continue forward onto Sunnybank Road.
  • Continue Forward onto Greenhill Road
  • The Crown Inn is located opposite Pages Fish Bar

Pitch Information

Due to the first team being promoted to the Gwent County divisions in 2003, the club now occupies two pitches.
The first team play all home games at Cwmbran park. See below for further details...

CWMBRAN PARK:

From Pontypool:

  • On A472 approaching roundabout for Pontypool that joins the A4043, take 2nd exit (straight over).
  • At the roundabout (McDonalds), take 4th exit signposted Cwmbran onto the A4042
  • At roundabout take 3rd exit onto the A4051
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit onto the A4051 (straight over)
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit onto the A4051 (straight over)
  • At roundabout take 1st exit onto the A4051
  • At roundabout go into the right hand lane and take the 2nd exit onto the A4051 (straight over)
  • Approaching roundabout you will see Cwmbran Stadium on your left, at roundabout take 2nd exit
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Henllys Way
  • As you drive up Henllys Way you will see a petrol garage on your right and a fire station on your left.
  • As you approach the traffic lights, you will see a park on the left where our pitch is situated.
  • At traffic lights turn right onto Wesley Street and the opening for the car park for the pitch/changing rooms will be on your right hand side.

From Newport:

  • Exit M4 Malpas at Junction 26 onto the A4051 keeping in the left lane.
  • Follow the A4051 till you come to the roundabout joining with the A4042
  • At roundabout take 1st exit onto the A4051
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit onto the A4051 (straight over)
  • You will see Cwmbran stadium on your right, at roundabout take 1st exit
  • At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Henllys Way
  • As you drive up Henllys Way you will see a petrol garage on your right and a fire station on your left.
  • As you approach the traffic lights, you will see a park on the left where our pitch is situated.
  • At traffic lights turn right onto Wesley Street and the opening for the car park for the pitch/changing rooms will be on your right hand side.

The second team play all home games at our long-standing home venue - The Alexandra road playing field (located in Sebastopol).

League Status


Sebastopol Firsts (Sebastopol 'A') currently play their football in the Gwent County Third division. The second team (Sebastopol 'B'), play in the Gwent Central Second division.
Both divisions fall under the jurisdiction of the Gwent FA, who have been running a successful football league hierarchy for nearly thirty years in its current form, and was first established as a football association in 1911. For more information on the Gwent FA click here
